FBI, OIG Raid Texas Home Care Provider Office

Operating your agency may seem like an uphill battle most days, but imagine how much harder it becomes when you have to function after an FBI raid.
An HHA in Corpus Christi, Texas is living through that scenario after the OIG, FBI, Medicare Fraud Control Unit and other federal agents conducted a search of Legacy Home Health’s offices. The feds forced employees to hand over their laptops and passwords during the search, reports KRISTV. Employees also said they saw agents sifting through paperwork and stacks of insurance forms.
Government officials have not said what they were seeking in the raid. Employees speculated to news outlets that the agents were looking for Medicare fraud.
