Expect Some Differences In Medicaid Rates

Now that Medicare has finalized its 2020 hospice payment rates, Medicaid has issued its rates as well. You can find the rates that take effect Oct. 1 at www.medicaid.gov/medicaid/benefits/downloads/medicaid-hospice-rates-ffy-2020.pdf. Keep in mind: “There are slight variances between Medicare and Medicaid due to the fact that potential beneficiary copayments are included in the Medicare rates,” the National Association for Home Care & Hospice’s Theresa Forster notes in an email to members.
