Cost Report Changes For HHA-Based Hospices Posted

You have until Nov. 3 to submit comments on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ changes to the home health agency-based hospice cost report. The changes are likely to require big revisions to the way you keep your accounting records (see Eli’s HCW, Vol. XXIV, No. 34).
CMS has issued the proposed forms and instructions on the Paperwork Reduction Act site. Go to www.cms.gov/RegulationsandGuidance/Legislation/PaperworkReductionActof1995/PRAListing. html and search for “CMS-1728-94.”
