Correction For Payment System Glitch On Deck For January

Along with the new year will come a fix for a nagging payment glitch. The problem: The Medicare claims system began erroneously rejecting RAPs and claims for reason codes U6815, U6816, U6817, and U6818 again (see Eli's HCW, Vol. XXVI, No. 43). The solution: "The FISS maintainer is currently developing a fix for this issue, which is now tentatively scheduled for implementation on 01/02/2018," HHH MAC National Government Services says in a new message to providers.
