CMS Troubleshoots PECOS System Problems,

You should find changes to the PECOS system that now make it easier to use, claims the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. "Over the last year, we have listened to your feedback" about PECOS, CMS says in a listserv message to providers. "As a result, we've made upgrades in order to reduce data entry time and increase access to information." For example: "You now have the ability to digitally sign and certify the application," CMS cheers. And "you can see if a request for revalidation has been sent by your MAC." You can also quickly update and resubmit an application returned for correction, CMS points out. "Be on the look-out for more enhancements in the coming months," CMS says.
