CMS Launches eMedicare
Your current and future patients will be able to take advantage of some new online options, thanks to Medicare’s “eMedicare” enhancement initiative. The multi-year initiative includes steps such as providing personalized information online to help beneficiaries decide between original Medicare and Medicare Advantage coverage, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says in a release. “The Medicare population is expected to increase to more than 80 million beneficiaries in 2030, up from 54 million in 2015. As of 2016, about two-thirds of Medicare beneficiaries indicate they use the Internet daily or almost daily,” CMS notes.
