Check Your RAP Stats With This Report From Medicare
Get familiar with Comparative Billing Reports. You can find out if your Request for Anticipated Payment data are making you stick out like a sore thumb to reviewers and investigators with a new tool from one HHH MAC. Home Health Agencies can access a Request for Anticipated Payment (RAP) Comparative Billing Report via CGS’s myCGS portal, the HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor says in a new post to its website. HHAs must submit a request for the report. “RAPs are designed to ensure HHAs have sufficient cash flow,” CGS says. “The RAP CBR will allow HHAs to monitor the percentage of RAP ratios.” HHAs and hospices can also request CBRs with other data, CGS reminds. “The purpose of the CBR is to show provider-specific billing pattern data in comparison to peer groups,” the MAC explains.
