Industry Note:

Chain To Go To Charity

Bayada Home Health Care CEO J. Mark Baiada plans to donate the home care chain to a yet-to-be-formed charitable organization, reports The Inquirer newspaper.

“Nonprofits last longer, and I don’t really need the money, so we’re going to turn it over to a newly created nonprofit that’s all mission-driven," Baiada told the newspaper. “We’re putting mission over money.”

Philadelphia-based Bayada has annual revenues of $1.1 billion and is the tenth-largest HHA company in the nation, according to the Inquirer.
