Chain Pares MCO Biz

Home care chain Amedisys Inc. has changed its service agreement with Humana Inc. The change will result in Amedisys receiving about half the $65 to $70 million in annual revenues it had been receiving from the insurer.The Baton Rouge, La.-based company now will receive payment on a per visit rather than episodic basis, it says in a release. Not all markets served under Amedisys' former agreement with Humana will be served under the new one, Amedisys points out.
