Beware HICN Glitch In ELGA/ELGH

You may not be getting your patient’s correct HICN if you use ELGA and ELGH, warns HHH MAC CGS. “ELGA and ELGH are not displaying a corrected health insurance claim number (HICN) when the beneficiary’s HICN has changed,” the MAC says on its website. CGS has reported the problem, but meanwhile, “providers may access this information through the CWF inquiry systems, HIQA and HIQH,” CGS says.
