BearWith MAC As It Manually Works Around E94G2 Claims Processing Glitch

Try to hold your horses when it comes to claims stalled with reason code E94G2 in status/location S M90PP, HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor CGS is telling providers.

The problem: “FISS is incorrectly applying the reject reason code 32352 and changing the type of bill from 329 to 320,” CGS explains on its website.

The solution: While the MAC is researching the problem, “CGS Claims staff are manually working the claims to continue processing.”

However, that manual process “takes additional time,” the MAC notes in a message to providers. “CGS understands the concern providers have with the delay in claims being processed, and the Claims staff is continually working on the claims involved with this issue.”

Remember, Medicare contractors have 30 days to process clean claims, CGS acknowledges. “In the event that claims cannot be processed within 30 days, claims will be paid with interest,” the MAC’s website notes.
