Avoid This Common HETS Search Mistake

Just because you can’t find a beneficiary in HETS, doesn’t mean she’s not there. The HIPAA Eligibility Transaction System (270/271) “will not return data when all fields entered do not match the beneficiary's data as it is maintained in HETS,” Palmetto GBA explains in a new website post.
Tip: Leave optional fields blank in case their data doesn’t match the beneficiary’s data maintained in HETS system.
