Industry Note:

3 Providers Will Merge To Form 15-State Chain

Great Lakes Caring, National Home Health Care, and Jordan Health Services plan to merge, they say in a recent release. The merger "will strategically position the newly combined company as one of the nation's largest providers of home-based care," they say.

The newly combined company will serve more 63,000 patients daily, employing more than 31,000 caregivers across 15 states in 221 locations, they say. "The company will retain corporate headquarters in Michigan, Connecticut and Texas, and operate in service lines," they add.

NHHC, through its four operating subsidiaries, provides nursing care, personal care, and other services in the Northeast; Great Lakes furnishes home health and hospice services in six states in the Midwest and three in New England; and Dallasbased Jordan provides personal care, case management, skilled nursing, therapy, and hospice services to about 37,000 patients in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
