A new merger in Illinois will create the largest Catholic health system in the state, which will operate six home health agencies. The merger of Mokena-based Provena Health and Chicago-based Resurrection Health Care will create a system offering services in Chicago, as well as Aurora, Elgin, Joliet, Kankakee, Des Plaines, Evanston, Rockford, Urbana, Danvilleand Avilla, Ind., according to press reports. The merger is pending regulatory approval. When the systems merge, the new entity will operate under a new name.
