If you’ve had a RAP or claim denied in error with reason code U5210 or U5220, it’s on you to resubmit the claim to receive payment. So says HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor CGS on its website.
Problem: Claims, Requests for Anticipated Payments (RAPs), and Notices of Election (NOEs) were inappropriately rejecting when either the Part A or Part B benefits showed terminated in the Common Working File, CGS explains in its claims processing issues log.
Solution: The issue has now been resolved, CGS confirms. But "providers who believe their RAP or claim was denied in error can resubmit them for processing," the MAC instructs.
