Ohio Nurse Convicted Of Fraud In Patient Death Case

An Ohio home care nurse who has already been sentenced by the state to serve 10 years for her role in the death of her severely disabled minor patient has been sentenced to another three years for federal health care fraud. Rather than working her eight-hour shift and providing nursing services, Mollie Parsons was frequently absent from the home for extended periods of time, the Department of Justice says in a release. To conceal her neglect, Parsons submitted false claims to Medicaid.
