Amedisys Inc. is reporting increased earnings as it moves its headquarters to Nashville. The Baton Rouge, La.-based chain reported a $10.6 million profit on $314.2 million in revenues for the quarter ended June 30, compared to $7.6 million in net income on $305.0 million in revenues for the year-ago quarter.
Amedisys “will open a new executive office this month in Nashville, Tennessee, capitalizing on Nashville’s acknowledged position as the epicenter of healthcare industry in the United States,” the company says in a release. “This strategically located office will help Amedisys build pivotal relationships with important industry leaders and analysts and attract strong talent from the healthcare industry.” The majority of Amedisys’ CEO Executive Team will be based in the Nashville office.
