F2F Code Trips Up HHAs, MAC Warns
Don’t let a misleading error description lead you astray when it comes to face-to-face medical review.
“Did you know that your claim can receive the specific granular error — The Face-to-Face Encounter Not Present for Denial Code 5FF2F/5TF2F even if that documentation was submitted?” HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor Palmetto GBA asks in a recent post on its website.
“The specific granular error The Face-to-Face Encounter Not Present can not only be received if you did not submit documentation of the face-to-face encounter, but also if your submitted documentation upon medical review is deemed as not being valid according to the Medicare documentation requirements,” Palmetto explains in its Aug. 23 post.
