Azip code-related claims glitch could be delaying your Notices of Election. Error code 32114 states that “the provider zip code or the subpart zip code is required and it must be five or nine numeric digits,” noted a hospice provider in the questions-and-answers from Palmetto GBA’s Oct. 8 Hospice Coalition meeting. But when the hospice used a correct five-digit zip code, the claim denied, the hospice said.

“Palmetto GBA has researched returned to provider (RTP) reason code 32114,” the MAC says in the Q&As. “We found a few examples of the NOEs receiving the edit when a correct five digit zip code was used. The examples, which seem to be correctly submitted, are currently being researched.”
