Industry News:

Check This List Twice For Revalidation Requests

Can't quite figure out if you're on Medicare's enrollment revalidation list? CMS says that all providers not enrolled in PECOS have received revalidation requests, for one (see Eli's HCW, Vol. XX, No. 20, p. 319). Now you can check to see if you owe Medicare a revalidation response. CMS is posting a list of providers who have been sent a request to revalidate their Medicare enrollment. CMS will update the list, which lists providers by name and NPI, monthly. You can access the list at www.cms.gov/MedicareProviderSupEnroll/11_Revalidations.asp -- scroll down to the "Downloads" section. Tip: You must widen each column in the spreadsheet to view the contents, CMS instructs in a message to providers. Do this: "If you are listed, and have not received the request, please contact your Medicare contractor," CMS says.
