• If you want to steer clear of fraud and abuse charges from Medicare, you might want to check out CMS's newly revised Web-based training course on the topic. The course "provides information that will increase awareness of Medicare fraud and abuse; provide[s] information regarding correct billing practices, and help[s] Medicare providers, suppliers and staff to file claims correctly," CMS says in a notice to providers. To access the course, go to www.cms.gov/MLNProducts, select the Web-based training modules link in the "Related Links Inside CMS" section,then select the Medicare Fraud and Abuse WBT from the list provided.
