Health System Has National Ambitions For Home Care

Health system Bethesda Inc. plans to sell its Consolidated Health Services Inc. home care business to Catholic Health Initiatives. Milford, Ohio-based Consolidated offers home care, patient transportation, home infusion, and durable medical equipment under various business units, reports the Cincinnati Business Journal. Catholic Health Initiatives, a national nonprofit health system headquartered in Denver, "plans to expand home care services into a significant national business line," the newspaper says. CHI currently operates in 18 states.
