Examine Claims RTPd With U538I Closely For Payment Glitch

Do this: "If you feel that U538I is an error, press F9 to move the claim out of the RTP file," Cahaba instructs. "Claims with reason code U538I will be held in status/location S M538I until the issue is resolved." You might be waiting a while, however. Cahaba expects a solution in April, it says.
