The International Organization for Standardization or ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 153 countries with a central coordinating secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland. By requiring conformity of products and services to international standards, ISO aims to assure consumers about a company's quality, safety and reliability as well as improve the company's efficiency.
