Proceed Quickly On Bids--Or Risk All

First deadline looms.

Don't count on the demise of Medicare DMEPOS competitive bidding--or you could put your business in jeopardy.

If you're in one of the areas slated for the April 2008 program launch, you have only until July 13 to submit your bid if you want a chance to retain Medicare business for the product categories included.

Deadline: June 30 marks the final day to apply for the user ID and password required to place a bid.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services held its fourth and fifth audioconferences on bidding on June 20 and 21. The June 20 session focused on small suppliers, including tips about bidding in separate product categories and bidding as a network. CMS also held an Open Call session June 21.
