Another N.Y. County Switches To Private Home Care

Another county-run home health agency in New York looks likely to transition to private ownership. Schuyler County Administrator Timothy O'Hearn is asking county lawmakers to approve hiring a consultant to design a request for proposals to take over the county's home health services, reports the Elmira, N.Y. Star Gazette. About half the counties in New York have done the same in order to provide home care services more efficiently and effectively, O'Hearn said.
