A new research program started in 2015 by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) examines the cybersecurity experiences of U.S. healthcare organizations, and now the results of the 2016 survey are in.
Focusing on a subset of 150 respondents, divided into acute care and non-acute care providers, the “2016 HIMSS Cybersecurity Survey” data is especially significant in light of the many news stories during the past year reflecting security breaches in healthcare settings.
