The HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) is asking all health IT stakeholder to offer their two cents during the agency’s annual comment period for the Interoperability Standards Advisory (ISA). Details: The ISA is a stakeholder-driven catalog of standards and implementation that impact clinical decision-making and data sharing in healthcare. ONC has “curated” its policies from comments garnered from the public for the last eight years, the agency says. In fact, “public comments figured prominently in last year’s 8th Annual ISA Reference Edition update. As a result, we added new standards, implementation specifications, and health IT interoperability needs in the areas of pharmacy interoperability, public health reporting, social determinants of health and health equity,” ONC explains.
