Michigan Subscriber Answer: NERD stands for nonerosive reflux disease.Essentially, its gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD),or heartburn, without damage to the mucous membrane. The correct code is 530.81 (Other specified disorders of esophagus; esophageal reflux).
