CMS makes changes to some surgery indicators, procedure RVUs

CMS has sent out the first update to the 2004 Physician Fee Schedule.
 
The updated fee schedule includes changes to some bilateral surgery indicators, as well as relative value unit (RVU) adjustments for certain procedures, among other alterations. The changes were effective on Jan. 1, 2004, and will be fully implemented on April 5.
