Here's the fastest way to choose the correct hemorrhoid treatment code: Just match the hemorrhoid type (internal, external, or internal and external) with the method of removal, and select the code you find in that cell.

This chart does not include excisions (for example, 46250, Hemorrhoidectomy, external, complete) because gastroenterologists do not perform these procedures.
