The Reader Question "Observe Bundles for ERCP Code," in Vol. 11, No. 11 of Gastroenterology Coding Alert contained an inaccuracy. The coding advice was to report 43268 (Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography; with endoscopic retrograde insertion of tube or stent into bile or pancreatic duct) and 43262 (Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography; with sphincterotomy/papillotomy) for the encounter. The advice should have instructed the reader to report only 43262.
