Question: Can we report inpatient telehealth E/M services to Medicare? This has happened in some cases in our practice due to COVID-19. New Jersey Subscriber Answer: As of February 2021, Medicare will include code range 99221-99223 (New or established patient initial hospital inpatient care services) as temporarily reimbursable during the public health emergency (PHE).
