As of Tuesday, April 1, President Obama signed the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 (H.R. 4302) bill into law. The law requires the federal government to delay the adoption of ICD-10-CM/PCS for at least one year. Therefore, you won’t have to start using ICD-10 on Oct. 1, 2014 as planned.
