Question: A patient who suffered a syncope and fall reports to the ED. The patient is also exhibiting hallucinogenic behavior and giddiness. How many diagnosis codes will I need for this claim?

Answer: You-ll report three diagnosis codes on your claim: 780.2 (Syncope and collapse) for the syncope and collapse, 780.1 (Hallucinations) for the hallucinations, and 780.4 (Dizziness and giddiness) to 93010 (Electrocardiogram, routine ECG with at least 12 leads; interpretation and report only) to represent the patient's giddiness.
