Question: Documentation shows use of a finger BP cuff during a tilt table test. May I report the finger BP cuff separately?

Answer: You should consider the blood pressure (BP) monitoring to be part of the larger tilt table test. Code 93660 (Evaluation of cardiovascular function with tilt table evaluation, with continuous ECG monitoring and intermittent blood pressure monitoring, with or without pharmacological intervention) specifically includes intermittent blood pressure monitoring and does not specify the method. A finger BP cuff may provider continuous monitoring, but you still should not report the monitoring using a separate code.
