Tip: If you download the non-mutually exclusive CCI edits at www.cms.hhs.gov/NationalCorrectCodInitEd/, you will see the 93294/93296 and 93295/93296 edits displayed in the following way: The modifier indicator in the far right column is 9, and the deletion date is the same as the effective date. Both of these indicate that the deletion is retroactive.
