Your 2024 CPT and Final Rule Questions, Answered

E-brief

In December of 2023, we hosted a webinar, "All the AMA and CMS Updates, and How They Impact Your Organization." During this hour-long presentation, we received numerous audience questions regarding regulatory and guideline changes happening in 2024.

In this ebrief, Lori Cox, MBA, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I, CEMC, CGSC, CHONC, AAPC Director of Client Engagement, addressed those inquiries and provided clarification on common concerns related to G2211, split/shared visits, and more.

Read the Q&A eBrief for answers to questions like:

  • What specialties can bill G2211 and what are the documentation and limitations guidelines?

  • Can a provider count ordering a test toward MDM if they also are billing for that test?

  • Does 95 modifier need to be applied to telehealth services?

  • If a patient is in the hospital and then is discharged and readmitted on the same day by the same physician, can they bill both?

  • Regarding review of records for data, what if the records come from a different location of the same practice, such as a large practice with multiple locations?
