Practice exam terms and conditions

AAPC practice exams are based on the application of medical terminology, anatomy, and the rules and regulations of each code set (CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS Level II). However, I understand the actual application of the information in this examination does not guarantee consistently accurate and correct coding. Inquiries of the code set developers, individual practice guidelines, compliance plans, local carrier(s) bulletins, policy announcements, etc., should be made to resolve coding issues. Finally, I am clear that the law, applicable regulations, payers’ instructions, interpretations, enforcements, etc., may change at any time. AAPC has obtained the permission of various individuals and companies to include their material in this certification examination. These agreements do not extend to use beyond this examination.

I will not copy, reproduce, dismantle, quote, or present this product without the expressed written approval of AAPC or the sources contained within. I know no part of this product covered by the copyright herein may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means (graphically, electronically, or mechanically, including photocopying, recording, or taping) without the expressed written permission of the publisher.

I understand the results of this product are separate from, and cannot be applied to, the awarding of a professional certification by AAPC. I know AAPC certifications are only earned through successfully passing a proctored AAPC examination.

I understand AAPC continuously evaluates and tests enhancements to certification exams, and that I may encounter fill-in-the-blank questions in my practice exam(s) that are not yet implemented in the actual exam, with exception of the CIC certification exam.
